Eligibility checker

Check my project

Answer four quick questions. We'll compare your project with verified Quebec and municipal programs, then show the official sources to verify before making a decision.

Before you start

This checker is an informational screening tool only. It is not legal, financial, tax, or grant-administration advice and it does not guarantee eligibility, approval, reimbursement amount, processing time, or program availability.

Eligibility scope

What qualifies and what doesn't

Programs cover specific projects, not just any electrical work. A standalone panel replacement, service call, or troubleshooting visit generally doesn't match an active public program. If your project combines multiple types of work, eligibility depends on the main component.

This tool gives a non-binding indication based on rules we have reviewed. It is not legal, financial, tax, or grant-administration advice, and it does not guarantee eligibility, approval, reimbursement amount, processing time, or program availability. Official program rules and the administering organization's decision always prevail.

Frequently asked questions

Does Opex guarantee that I will receive a grant?
No. Opex can help identify programs that may fit the electrical scope and provide documents such as invoices, RBQ licence information, and scope descriptions. Opex does not administer public programs and cannot guarantee eligibility, approval, reimbursement amount, processing time, or program availability. Always verify the official source before buying equipment or starting work.
Can I combine the provincial and municipal EV charger rebates?
Yes, in most cases. The provincial Roulez vert program and municipal incentives are generally stackable. The tool accounts for both levels and shows you the potential total.
Is a standalone panel replacement covered by any grant?
A panel replacement on its own does not match an active public program. However, if the panel is part of an eligible project (e.g., an EV charger install), the costs may be included in the program's eligible expenses.
Do I need to buy the charger before calling an electrician?
No. It's actually better to consult us before purchasing. Some programs require installation by a master electrician, and the charger model can affect eligibility.
Can a tenant apply for the Roulez vert rebate?
The home charger program is generally for property owners. A tenant should discuss it with their landlord. The multi-unit stream may apply in some situations.
What documents do I need to keep for the grant application?
Keep the charger invoice, the electrician's installation invoice, and any program-related documents. Each program has its own documentation requirements - the official links in your email summary will specify them.
How often do these programs change?
Often. Budget envelopes, criteria, amounts, eligible expenses, and deadlines can change at any time. We regularly verify official sources and update the tool. The last verification date is always visible.
