How It Works

1

Free Assessment

On-site visit to verify panel amperage, the run length between panel and charger location, and available capacity. We also confirm whether smart load management or a panel upgrade is needed before quoting.

2

Detailed Estimate

Fixed price including the dedicated 240 V circuit, charger, installation method, commissioning, and required documents. Every line item is on the estimate, with no surprises at invoice time.

3

Installation

Run the 240 V circuit from your panel, mount the charger (indoor or outdoor), wire and energize. Many straightforward residential installs are done in half a day; exact timing depends on the panel, cable route, and charger location.

4

Commissioning and documentation

Full charger testing, walkthrough of operation, and the documents you need (itemized invoice, proof of installation) for Quebec charging-station grant applications when the project qualifies.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does EV charger installation cost?

Cost depends on the distance between your panel and the charger location, the materials required, your current panel capacity, and the charger model chosen. A long run, detached garage, outdoor parking area, load management, or panel upgrade can change the scope. We offer a free assessment so the quote reflects the actual site instead of a generic range.

Will my current panel handle a Level 2 charger?

A 200 A panel isn't always required. With dynamic load management, a 100 A panel can sometimes work when the load calculation allows it. The charger can slow or pause when the home draws peak load. We verify actual load before recommending an upgrade.

Will the charger be compatible with my vehicle?

Many Level 2 chargers use the J1772 connector, and some vehicles use an adapter. Compatibility depends on the vehicle, model year, and charger selected. Send us the vehicle and charger model if you want compatibility checked before installation.

How long does installation take?

A straightforward residential install can often be completed in half a day. A panel upgrade, long cable run, detached garage, or outdoor parking area can take longer.

Which charger brands do you install?

We can install many charger brands sold in Quebec when the model is approved for Canada and suitable for the site. If you already purchased a charger, send the model with your request so we can verify installation requirements and possible grant eligibility.

Does Quebec financial assistance cover installation?

Quebec's home charging-station grant can provide $600 for an eligible residential charger when program conditions are met. Since April 1, 2026, only connected chargers are eligible. We prepare the required documents when your project qualifies. If you want to screen eligibility before buying a charger, use the grant eligibility checker.

Do I need a permit to install an EV charger?

Electrical installation work must be done by an electrical contractor holding the appropriate licence. Depending on your municipality, a permit or local step may be required. We identify the applicable steps as part of the estimate.

Can I install the charger myself?

Not for the wiring and connection work. In Quebec, electrical installation work must be done by an electrical contractor holding the appropriate licence. A non-compliant install can affect charger warranty and financial-assistance eligibility.

Do you install chargers in condos or multi-unit buildings?

Yes. Condo and multi-unit installs require additional coordination with the syndicate or building manager: access to the electrical room, cable routing, assigned parking space, and approval documents. We guide owners through this process.
